McDowell Creek
McDowell Creek runs through Bird Runner Wildlife Refuge. The stream bed is a fossiliferous limestone that was once the bed of ancient seas.
Outhouse
The inside walls of this outhouse are a message board, and visitors are encouraged to leave poems or favorite quotations.
Watering hole
Tall grasses surround a watering hole as deep shadows offset the soft hills in the distance.
Tree on prairie
A lone tree stands out among the tall grasses on the prairie as the sun casts long shadows on the rolling hills.
